Flexjobs Interview for FB

1. How do you find balance between work and life?

1. That’s easy for me because I am fortunate enough where I don’t have to go to the office 5 days a week. I in a way get off the hook. On a daily basis my family comes first, then my training and then work in-between. I can make my own schedule to fit my needs.

2. As someone who runs a successful Web site — http://www.gabbyreece360.com –but works flexibly, what do you enjoy the most about having a flexible schedule?

2. The opportunity to enjoy what’s happening in life now and not always feeling like I am racing to some end goal – I can be in the moment. The kids are growing up so quickly and I get to be a part of that.

3. What is your advice for someone hoping to have a more flexible schedule?

3. Having a flexible schedule gives me the opportunity to have a little more flexibility as opposed to someone that has to be so structured with their days/weeks. Like when Saturday comes you have to do laundry and clean the house and by Sunday you are exhausted from the Mon-Saturday grind. It’s an easy grind to get into and hard to make a shift to get out so if you have a flexible schedule you can fit it all in in a way that’s best for you.

4. Thank you for offering exclusive discounts for FlexJobs subscribers. What are some of your favorite picks?
4. The Organic Greens for sure. They taste great, they are user friendly. I feel good about covering the bases for something I may miss that day (meaning vegetables).

5. What are some quick ways to work out in between your job, kids, etc.?
5. People have to realize that it’s not just about working out. If you make better eating choices this just makes having only 15 minutes a day to workout that much better. You don’t have to train for a long period of time. 10 minutes here or 15 minutes there does make a difference especially coupled with good eating choices. I am an advocate of people working out in the morning. It’s the first thing I can tackle. If I let time go by I get tired and lose motivation. You don’t have to love it but you have to figure out when best to get it in and make it work for you. Plus ‘they’ say the best time to workout is in the morning.
